Pre Schools
This project briefing focuses on establishing 10 pre-schools in the Ambagamuwa Divisional
Secretariat areas of upcountry Sri Lanka. The objective of this project is to provide quality early
childhood care and development (ECCD) services to children in these rural areas, while also
providing employment opportunities to local communities. The project will involve the
construction of buildings for the pre-schools, as well as providing teacher training and
educational materials for the teachers and students. This NGO project is an important step
towards ensuring that children living in rural areas have access to quality education and
resources. These centers will provide pre-school age children with quality education, health care,
nutrition, and other services that will ensure their holistic development. The project also aims to
create awareness of the importance of ECCD among local communities and to build the capacity
of local personnel in early childhood education. Through this project, the NGO hopes to make a
lasting positive impact on the lives of these children and their families.
