NTT -Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust - NVQ
This project focuses on the need to provide national vocational training and livelihood activities
for youths, especially girls, in Upcountry Sri Lanka. The goal of this project is to create a
sustainable and equitable environment for these youths by providing them with the necessary
skills and resources they need to thrive in their local communities. Through this project, we hope
to empower these youths with the knowledge they need to become independent and successful
members of society. We also aim to foster a sense of self-sufficiency among them by providing
them with access to resources such as plantation sector-related training. Furthermore, we hope
that this project will help reduce poverty levels in Upcountry Sri Lanka as well as promote
gender equality. The project aims to create a sustainable livelihood for these youths by providing
them with vocational training and access to resources that will enable them to become self-
sufficient. Furthermore, it seeks to empower girls by allowing them to pursue their dreams and
contribute meaningfully to society.
